What A Young Adult Wants…
“What a girl wants, what a girls needs…” Good song. And a great segway into what I want to talk about with this blog article. The question: what does a young adult want? Not just in a church or in a Bible study or anything specifically spiritual like that – but very simply: what does a young adult want?
I think that Young Adults want three things (as well as one million other things):
1) Community: Every young adult wants community – community with God and community with people.
2) Belonging: Every young adult needs a place to belong. They want to feel accepted and valued. They want to belong, to have somewhere to go.
3) Purpose: Every young adult wants to have a purpose to their life and a reason for living. This is a central need for every young adult – and something that might be the most important and most underrated thing to young adults.
So “what a young adult wants, what a young adult needs…” – not the catchiest song in the world, but, still. At least now you know a bit more about what Young Adults want.
Now the question is: How do we make these things happen?
