Here’s the secret to young adult ministry: It’s not about all the flashy music, the cool videos, the coffeehouse atmosphere, or the latest and greatest Bible studies.  The secret to young adult ministry is this: it’s YOU.

You are the secret to a great young adult ministry.  You are the greatest resource to any young adult ministry.  You have all the tools inside of you to make and maintain an awesome young adult ministry.  And here’s why: because young adult ministry is all about people and relationships.  It is about connecting with people and connecting with God.  That’s where you come in.

You can help set the atmosphere of your ministry through your values and your passion.  You can make people feel welcome and accepted by your friendship and care.  You make things cool and relevant because of the way that you can dig in deep with people’s lives.  You have all the latest and greatest tools of the trade right inside of you.

So feel encouraged today!  Feel empowered!  Feel commissioned!  You are the key to your young adult ministry.  You are the greatest resource.  So get out there… and utilize yourself!
